Details of Position

Bucksmore Education, part of the Oxford International Education Group of companies, are recruiting for the most important roles at our Summer centres - our teaching and activities positions of EFL Counsellor, Programmes Counsellor and Residential Tutor for our British Council-accredited summer schools in Cambridge, Kent, London, Oxford, Surrey and East Sussex. Courses are run for students aged 10-13, 13-16 and 16-18 from all over the world.

EFL Counsellors have the opportunity to work on both the teaching and activity programmes. This role is the core role for delivering our EFL programmes for students aged 10-13 and 13-16. Whilst delivering engaging EFL lessons our Counsellors also lead stimulating activity sessions at residential summer schools in the UK. The Bucksmore EFL Counsellor role is a demanding but ultimately very rewarding one.

Programme Counsellors will be involved in similar programmes to our EFL Counsellors but focus on specific subject areas such as Academic subjects and University Experience courses. This role offers the opportunity to work on both the teaching and activity programmes. They deliver engaging project sessions and help with practical classes while also leading stimulating activity sessions at residential summer schools in the UK. The Bucksmore Programme Counsellor role is a demanding but ultimately very rewarding one.

Residential Tutors will work alongside non-residential counterparts and deliver Specific Academic content in line with the Bucksmore course syllabus. They deliver engaging academic sessions and practical classes for subject specific areas. As this is a residential role our tutors will be required to also lead some stimulating activity sessions and work on the social programme.

All Residential Bucksmore staff will also have pastoral responsibilities.

Subject areas that Programme counsellors and Residential Tutors will need knowledge of and experience in include - Medicine, Engineering, Business, Performing Arts, Media and Communications, Forensic Science/Criminology, Computer Science, Art & Design and International Relations/Law.
